Arenkha is a unique product made from sustainably-fished North Atlantic Herring, rather than sturgeon roe.
It has a wonderful pearlescent grey-black appearance, with a smokey/lemony taste and a hint of the sea.
Arenkha was formally called Avruga but the name changed because it sounded too much like Sevruga! Due to its versatility, it can be used in canapés, pasta, salads, and even in hot sauce. A fraction of the cost of real caviar.
Arenkha (previously known as Avruga) is more than just a caviar substitute.
