McKissock Garden Reinstallment – The John King Brain Tumour Foundation, RHS Hampton Court Show Garden is now recycled to the McKissock Ward roof garden at the Atkinson Morley Wing at St. George’s Hospital.
The Team at Garden Club London and our charity patron Richard Sullivan have done an incredible job of relocating the award-winning ‘People’s Choice ‘John King Brain Tumour Foundation show garden from The RHS Hampton Court Garden Festival to the McKissock Ward roof garden at the Atkinson Morley Wing at St. George’s Hospital which our charity maintains.
Designed by the amazing Rhiannon Williams from Garden Club London, the John King Brain Tumour Foundation Garden is a hospital rooftop garden that provides a vital space for patients and hospital staff to be immersed in nature. It is a calming environment designed to aid recovery and provide a safe space for often difficult conversations. The garden demonstrates how the charity is transforming under-used areas of grey concrete rooftops into hidden sanctuaries for people and wildlife to discover and enjoy. a peaceful rooftop oasis for neurosurgical patients and staff to use.
A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has helped to make this happen with show garden materials donated from London Stone plants from Creepers Nursery and planters from Europlanters.
