John King Brain Tumour Charity Golf Day Raises £27,000!!!
A big ‘thank you’ to all the teams who took to Woburn Golf Club for the John King Brain Tumour Foundation Charity Golf Day. Taking place on the stunning Marquess Course.
The day concluded with a delicious three-course dinner from the acclaimed Woburn hospitality team, an after-dinner speech by Mick Fitzgerald, retired Irish National Hunt Jockey and current television racing presenter, prize-giving and a live auction hosted by celebrity chef Brian Turner CBE
Prizes were awarded for the first six teams as well as for Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive.
Our thanks to our hole sponsors, Clintons and The Caron Keating Foundation, HR Owen Lamborghini who brought along some stunning cars on the day, all our auction and raffle donors and the players who took part.
“The fundraising from the Golf Day means that we can start planning our next project which is to create a ‘Forest in the Sky” garden for Neuro ICU patients and their families, a haven away from the busy wards and a place where the nursing staff can take patients down to exercise and breath in fresh air which will aid their recovery.”
